About the Role:
This role is responsible for defining & implementing the strategy to develop products, services, and partnerships that will generate additional revenue & market share for the tax division. By optimizing the core base of business & collaborating with the tax leadership team, can enhance existing product features and developing new avenues of products and revenue sources, & provides the catalyst for enhancing our positions as leaders in the industry.
This role also includes supporting the tax leadership team in continuing to grow the existing base of business and provide insight and collaboration to accomplish our objectives of growing, enhancing, improving, simplifying, & raising our profile in the industry. This includes leveraging industry and product knowledge in areas like profitability, finding efficiencies in operations, product development and delivery, industry relationships, data development, risk management and loss prevention, compliance, & enrollments.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement strategic action plans to optimize products, enhance revenue, simplify, or automate processes to improve efficiencies, and pursue alternative revenue sources and features that improve our competitive standing.
- Work across all areas of the tax division and Pathward shared services to identify areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with operations – ERO enrollment & compliance and financial controls.
- Develop & maintain positive relationships with relevant industry partners, trade organizations and government agencies.
- Collaborate with sales – with high value partner optimization, software partner/transmitter relationships, optimize CRM tools.
- Lead or assist in developing project management work for all areas of the business Collaborate with product integration - development and delivery.
- Collaborate with prepaid card disbursements & card processing teams.
- Participate in national organization events such as CERCA and ACTR.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for content delivery, marketing tools.
- Assist in developing budgets for departments within tax division.
- Collaborate with our ERO lending portfolio management team to enhance delivery, strategic planning and profitability.
- Work with other areas of focus that include special projects, product delivery, loss prevention, ERO experience, & profitability.
- Collaborate with our shared service functions within the bank that are part of our overall development and delivery of products and services that include compliance, legal, risk management, accounting, & others.
- Collaborate with our technology teams and related shared services in development and communication of projects.
- Collaborate with Pathward product development and compliance teams in product delivery functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in client-facing leadership in the financial services or tax industry.
- 10+ years of related experience desired
- Leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of refund related bank products industry.
- Opportunistic awareness for pivoting and finding alternative solutions
- Strong negotiation and influence skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills.
- Project management skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and search tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
- Ability to travel if needed.
- Position requires leadership, self reliance, organizational, communication, industry maturity, & interpersonal skills to identify areas of opportunity in the marketplace and within the Tax Division and deliver organized and complete solutions.

Salary range: $145,796.47 – $240,564.18
The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
