Responsibilities
Monitor flights and shipment schedules and statuses during evening EST hoursTrack real-time updates, including delays, and flight cancellations using internal tracking systems as well as external carriers' tracking portalsProactively identify potential shipment delays and operational issuesCommunicate promptly with internal teams any identified operational issues, shipments, and flight delaysMaintain accurate records of flights and shipments activities including tracking numbers, delivery confirmation, and incident reportsInteracting with vendor and carrier inquiriesReview and submit required documentation to our delivery partnersInvestigation of parcels and vendor concerns through multiple avenuesAbility to work through a daily task list, and monitor emails daily to update different types of data throughout the dayQuickly learn how different systems work and how to effectively use themCommunicates effectively with Operations team members and leadsRun reports and troubleshoot issues as neededEnter key performance indicator data accurately and on time for multiple vendorsReview data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incorrect informationProvide feedback and find pain points in the process, gather information for internal systems, and work on projects as neededYou will be expected to work on a fixed schedule and be responsive during your set hoursYou will be expected to work on a fixed schedule from 6 PM - 2 AM EST, Tue - Sat or Mon - Fri.
You have many of the following:
Proficient English written and verbal skillsFamiliarity with relevant software tools such as Zendesk, ERP systems, logistics software, or CRM tools is a plusExcellent Microsoft Excel skillsProven experience in monitoring operations, preferably in logistics or transportationUnderstanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, or international logistics considerationsExcellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyStrong analytical skills, and the ability to analyze data and trends to identify potential issues or areas for improvement in vendor operationsExcellent problem-solving skills and a capability to independently troubleshoot issues that arise during monitoring and tracking processesProcess-oriented and able to understand how different pieces of information connectSelf-starter with an eye for process improvementExcellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectivelySelf-motivated, positive attitude, Team playerAble to quickly understand and implement process changes
