Job description:

We are a dedicated team committed to advancing technology and driving innovation. Currently, we seek a skilled individual to temporarily fill the role of Technical Project Manager III during a maternity leave absence.
As the Technical Project Manager III, you will oversee ongoing projects to ensure continuity and progress in the absence of the incumbent. Your responsibilities will include project coordination, risk management, effective communication, and fostering innovation within the team. We are open to considering candidates for either a contractor or fixed-term employee position.

What will you be doing:

  • Lead planning and delivery of technical projects within the Global Services tribe domain
  • Facilitate discovery and alignment sessions between the engineering team, Product Manager, Tribe Lead and other relevant stakeholders
  • Work with the engineering team and stakeholders to develop project plans highlighting dependencies, risks and timelines
  • Work with the engineering team to transform requirements into detailed Product Backlog items
  • Facilitate bi-weekly Sprint Planning and Sprint Review ceremonies
  • Participate in Daily Scrum and help the team remove any impediments to their work
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders (including multiple engineering, product, and business team members) regarding project updates, requirements, and feedback
  • Continuously monitor project progress and address risks
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain team motivation to achieve project milestones and deliverables
  • Define and implement quality standards and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions
  • Conduct first-hand UAT on project deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Technical hands-on experience as a software/QA/DevOps engineer, or related
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in technical project management within the IT industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget, desirably within global environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and best practices for software development and delivery
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello) and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence)
  • Certification in project management is a plus
