Neon is an open-source company on a mission to enable developers to ship faster on a serverless platform powered by Postgres.
Are you an experienced Technical Program Manager eager to lead and coordinate high-impact programs, automate processes and enable our team to ship the right thing with high quality and on time?
This is our first TPM role at the company, so the person we hire will have an enormous opportunity to inform and develop our processes, tools, and approach as the company scales and develops.
Our ideal candidate:

Is flexible on tools, process,es and approach based on changing company needs
Neon has a small team, and we do not intend to grow a TPM team in the near future. This candidate must be comfortable working solo and develop the tools and systems to scale their impact rather than scaling by hiring.
This TPM will handle both long-term, company-scale initiatives as well as shorter-term project management for a small number of top-priority multi-team projects (on the scale of “Deploy Neon on Azure, and work with Microsoft to integrate Neon with the Azure Portal” and “Make Neon HIPAA compliant”)
Responsibilities of this hire will include:
Planning: Building and coordinating effective, lightweight, and transparent planning processes that support our ability to deliver and understand capacity in the future.
Oversight and Correction: Building tools and processes which identify efforts which are on or off-track, proactively taking action to resolve internally and escalating when necessary (Metrics, reporting, documentation).
Coordination, Facilitation, Reporting: Identifying necessary parties for efforts, and supporting their work through coordination and communication (eg. RACI).
Standards and Consistency: Developing standards with our teams, and gently rolling them out while seeking feedback and confirming their effects.
Stakeholder Management: Across internal functions, and with external parties.
