Team Lead Technical Operations plays an integral role in the future growth and development of the firm by ensuring secure, efficient, and effective utilization of technology. The role will be approximately 75% Operations Management and 25% Cloud Support with specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to the following:
- Build operation excellence experience in the company
- Be owner of technical operations on SaaS business environment
- Coordinate with managed сloud provider to ensure appropriate measures are taken for strong cybersecurity, disaster recovery and compliance
- Coordinate with systems and technology vendors and act as an in-house point of contact
- Other Responsibilities:
- Promote efficient, open and positive communication with internal staff
- Facilitate technology integrations, including data conversion, implementation and training, for occasional acquisitions of outside advisory practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a delivery background as Operations Lead, Service Delivery Lead, Delivery Lead, Service Desk Team Leader or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in the TechOps environment.
- 5+ years of experience working with Linux, and Windows systems.
- Understanding and knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, Opensearch, S3, Storage, Route53 and network appliances.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as a Code approach (Terraform preferred).
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Good understanding of microservice architecture.
- Good experience in Monitoring k8s clusters, APM, services, and infrastructure located in AWS (NewRelic).
- Ability to create automation tools in Python, Bash, and Powershell.
- Familiarity with Continuous Delivery tools used with microservices.
- Hands-on experience architecting and securing cloud networking such as VPC peering, Transit Gateways, subnet, and security groups (nice to have).
- Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab, or alternative Continuous Integration systems.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and Domain (nice to have).
- Coding experience. Identify pain points and inefficiencies to improve productivity and set us up for future growth.
- Develop, streamline, document, and implement workflows, dialogues and procedures through technology utilization to improve efficiency and ensure consistency across the firm
- Ensure accuracy of system data and settings through regular maintenance and audits
- Facilitate accurate and timely reporting through efficient use of the firm’s technology
- Provide ongoing technology training to staff and help to resolve any technological issues
