This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as an Tax Analyst - Direct Tax joining our Tax team.

What you bring

Business Administration related studies.
Experience required in practice or industry, mainly focused in payroll tax.
Knowledge of payroll software and how to deal with Tax Authorities.
Writes and speaks fluent English. Additional languages, Spanish, French or German, are a must.
It’s not required to have experience working remotely nor Big 4 background but considered a plus as well
Tax experience in multiple countries will be a plus
Qualification in Accounting or Tax a plus.
Having familiarity with start-ups / Fin-tech industry is advantageous too.

Key responsibilities

Assistance in the tax team when filing, preparing and submitting Direct tax retruns.
To be in contact with the tax authorities to solve any doubts that may exist when filing the different taxes.
Responsible for a smooth communication flow with different teams.
Lead the electronic mailboxes with the tax offices worldwide.
Preparation of supporting work papers and tax position papers.
Drive process improvements e.g. build documentation resources to address recurring and potential business partner/customer questions around personal income taxation.
Support the International Tax Analysts and Managers during tax audits / tax inquiries.
Supporting/managing tax special projects, as assigned.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $25,100 to $56,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
