As a Tax Analyst you will be responsible to manage the Global Indirect Tax Calendar efficiently. The successful candidate will assist in Preparing workpapers for US returns, including state apportionment, Fixed asset depreciation, and other tax analysis.
What You’ll Do:
- Sales Use Tax: Handle US tax affairs, including the preparation and reconciliation of US Sales Tax monthly, Gross Receipts Tax Returns (WA B&O, Seattle B&O, SF GRT), and other US Tax returns (NY Commercial Rent Tax, CA environmental tax).
- Property Tax: Collaborate with property tax advisors to facilitate financial reporting for property tax accrual and returns. Review the provided deliverables and offer feedback to the HQ team. Also, handle the preparation of property tax reconciliations.
- VAT: Work closely with advisors to compile financial reports for VAT returns. Review workpapers, draft returns, and provide feedback to the Tax Senior Manager. Additionally, prepare VAT reconciliations for each region.
- Assist in ad hoc indirect tax project
Corporate Tax
- Prepare acquired entity provision model
- Prepare tax account reconciliations
- Provide support to the US HQ tax team in coordinating information.
- Maintain the US compliance calendar.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential knowledge of US GAAP.
- CPA qualification is considered a bonus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with NetSuite and OneSource system a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in US SUT or VAT
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in US corporate tax.
- Should be accommodating US work hours Pacific Time Zone 2 days a week during close
