Mission Focus: Performing Modernization and enhancement, Operations and Maintenance, and Development on an existing web-based system to improve security, user functionality, stability, and cost efficiencies.
Clearance: Top Secret
Location/Flexibility: Remote with a possibility for occasional travel
Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer will:
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications, high-level functional systems analysis, modern software architecture and interface requirements, data models and design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that require graduate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation
- Participate as needed in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including software architecture requirements analysis, design, development, integration and test
- Oversee development and execution of software architecture, governance and configuration management policies and processes
- Apply sound software engineering principles and methods to specific tasks
- Design and prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation; make charts and graphs to record results
- Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the task order.
Required Qualifications:
SME: BS degree and 15+ years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma and 18+ years of relevant experience
Expert: BS degree and 11+ years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma and 14-17 years of relevant experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with virtualization. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Cloud Technologies a plus
- Superior customer service skills
- A service-oriented attitude with the utmost discretion in handling sensitive/private technical issues and other matters.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment. Work affords significant opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks
