The Role: 

As the Senior Vice President, People, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our people strategy to support our continued growth. You will lead the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs that align with our business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and attract, retain, and develop top talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in all areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, and People operations. Leading a team of exceptional HR professionals while positively defining and contributing to the company’s culture and success.
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent in a competitive market. Build and maintain a strong employer brand that reflects our company culture and values.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated to contribute to the company's success. Lead initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, morale, and retention.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including regular feedback, talent reviews, and career development planning. Implement tools and processes to support continuous performance improvement and development.
  • Learning and Development: Design and implement comprehensive learning and development programs to support manager enablement, employee growth and skill development. Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development aligned with business objectives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. Ensure compliance, globally with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Lead efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture where all employees feel respected, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents.
  • Operations: Oversee People operations, including policy development, compliance, employee relations, and HR technology systems. Implement efficient processes and systems to streamline People operations and enhance the employee experience.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a brand ambassador for Carrot through support of national conferences, webinars, op-ed opportunities, etc.
  • Leadership: Act as a member of the senior leadership team through participation in monthly business reviews; support executive leadership, board meetings and people-relevant committees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the technology or healthcare industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with a track record of developing and executing HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future HR trends and challenges and develop proactive solutions.
  • Experience with high-growth startups and distributed workforce, globally 

Compensation: 

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $250,000 - $275,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
