About the role:
Samsara is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to support our growing hardware supply chain team. In this role you will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Legal and Engineering to shape the future of our strategic supply chain partnerships. As part of our Global Supply Chain team, you will support new product introductions and cross-functional initiatives to optimize existing products. You will support the team with strategic sourcing, ranging from manufacturing partner escalations, cost negotiation, and project execution to data analysis. You will help the team identify market trends and develop tools and processes to systemize critical supply chain data. Ideal candidates should be analytical and curious learners. The supply chain team uses data-driven insights to align internal stakeholders and our joint design manufacturing partners.
This internship is a remote internship. This role is open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, Austin metro, California, Chicago metro, Connecticut, Dallas metro, Denver metro, Houston metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and Washington DC metro.
This role is only eligible for first-year MBA students or first-year Master's students with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, or degree equivalent with a minimum of 2+ years of working experience prior to going back to get their Master’s or MBA. We will not be accepting undergraduate students for this role at this time.

In this role, you will:
- Support supplier relationships to drive alignment on component pipeline and risk assessments
- Develop global sourcing strategies, identify and evaluate new supplier opportunities
- Partner with cross functional and systems teams to build supply chain integrations into existing PLM system
- Assist with collecting quotes from suppliers, leading negotiations and driving bottoms up cost analysis
- Support the development of our supply chain spend analytics processes and systems
- Conduct market research of current business trends, industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing and market conditions
- Drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders to identify cost savings opportunities by optimizing design, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Assist with bottoms-up-cost modeling for custom components

Minimum requirements for the role:
- Actively pursuing an MBA or a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or a similar field, graduating in Spring 2026.
- BS in a relevant technical field e.g. Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering also preferred
- Must have at least 2+ years of work experience, preferably in an Operations-focused role, prior to going back for your Master’s or MBA.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, prioritization, and triage of complicated issues
- Ability to develop strategic insights and trends
- Advanced analytical skills, ability to translate data into insights and craft executive presentations
- Self-motivated, proactive, creative, and critical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous settings
- Experience collaborating and working with cross-functional teams
- Preferred experience in supply chain or manufacturing or planning
