Precision Medicine Group is seeking an incoming or 1st year law student available for a summer legal internship.
Responsibilities:
- Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and other legal documents, preparing for and attending internal and external client meetings, etc.
- Assist with drafting, revising and implementing corporate policies, procedures, training, and communications to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk
- Working under Legal and partnering with Compliance, HR, IT, Finance and the various Business units to translate process and practice into policies and procedures
- Review various laws and regulations and translate into policies and procedures
Required Experience:
- Incoming or 1st year law student currently enrolled at an ABA accredited law school
- A high level of computer competency and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook)
- Leadership experience, including networking and relationships building
- Highly organized, responsible, and able to exercise independent judgment to prioritize competing demands and complete work timely and professionally
- Team-oriented and collaborative approach
- Effective written and verbal communications, with a high level of professionalism in all interactions and correspondence
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership to complete tasks in areas of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technology, willingness to ask questions and be resourceful to accomplish work objectives
- Experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the field of life sciences industry or corporate and compliance area of law
Internship Details:
- This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 times per week combined with remote work for a total of approximately 35 hours a week.
- Location: New Jersey or District of Columbia Area
- Length: Early June running 8-10 weeks
