Our Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven, customer-focused Strategic Solutions Engineer to work with some of our largest customers across North America, nurture and grow their usage of Snyk’s solutions, work with our product engineering teams to support their adoption of Snyk in organizations, and help to evolve their DevSecOps practices.
In this role, you will be working closely with some of our largest accounts in North America focusing on nurturing expansion opportunities within these accounts. In this role, you will partner with some of the most strategic AE’s in retaining and growing these large strategic accounts for Snyk. You will be able to demonstrate thought leadership, liaison with Customer Success teams supporting our largest customers, product, and R&D, and be part of a highly talented solutions engineering team.
You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Becoming a technical product expert, evangelist, and coach, able to give technical sales demonstrations to customers and partners
- Educating customers and partners about the adoption of open-source and cloud-native technologies and the importance of empowering developers to stay secure
- Driving time to value and advancing the adoption of Snyk within their SDLC
- Driving the technical aspects of the sale, providing demonstrations, managing technical proof of concepts (POCs), demonstrating product/technical expertise, and sharing best practice
- Interfacing with our sales, engineering, product, and customer success teams to build solutions that solve our customers’ problems
- Shaping and informing decisions on new features based on your experience and feedback from customers.
- Traveling to conferences and meeting customers and prospects in person (20-30% of travel expected)
What You’ll Need:
- 5 years or similar in the sales engineering (or solution architect), developer or security space
- Experience working as an enterprise or strategic sales engineer in a value-selling capacity
- Experience in nurturing and growing large enterprise and strategic accounts
- Familiarity with a wide variety of coding languages and how they work
- Knowledge of the developer and DevOps ecosystems and practices
- Passion for learning about and tinkering with new technologies - you’re curious about how things work under the hood!
- Ability to plan and succeed, setting milestones along the way, over-communicate, create alignment, rally resources, and satisfy stakeholders
- Experience working closely with highly technical audiences
- A team-oriented mindset
- Appreciation for diversity and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life
- Be able to navigate and engage with people in larger enterprise environments
