Overview: System Development Engineer L6 is a senior technical leader responsible for driving innovation, shaping technology strategy, and solving complex engineering challenges. This role requires extensive expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and deep technical knowledge across multiple cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering organization.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Define and drive the enterprise cloud infrastructure vision and strategy, ensuring service reliability, sustainability, and efficiency are prioritized. 
  • Establish and enforce governance, standards, and best practices for cloud platforms, with a focus on meeting non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost-efficiency. 
  • Architect and design highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that realize non-functional requirements. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing complex cloud projects, ensuring solutions meet non-functional requirements and adhere to best practices. 
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and coaching to engineering teams, emphasizing the importance of service reliability, sustainability, and efficiency. 
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement, prioritizing solutions that enhance service reliability and efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals, emphasizing the importance of non-functional requirements in cloud solutions. 

 Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, or related field. 
  • Expert knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. 
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and automation. 
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation projects. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with Evaluating, Designing, Developing, and Building PoC and Architect Infrastructure solutions 

 Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience.   

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time); 
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;  
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions; 
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and 
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
