As part of Lookout’s Engineering team, you will have an opportunity to take on some of the most interesting challenges in one or more core areas of intellectual property and fundamental building blocks that form Lookout’s category-defining Enterprise products. Responsibilities:
- Design, estimate, develop, and maintain high-quality, performant, and user-friendly Android applications.
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, and other Engineers to bring our product vision to life.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
- Conduct unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and actively contribute to building a strong development culture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and frameworks (Kotlin, Coroutines, Compose, Jetpack, etc).
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- At least 8+ years building & shipping commercial mobile software for the Android platform.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong understanding of the Gradle build system and the Android SDK.
- Experience with design patterns and best practices for Android development.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and a passion for writing clean and maintainable code that is well-tested.
- Proven track record of developing highly scalable designs.
- Stellar communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills including usage of native tools, profilers and debuggers
- Preference for working in a dynamic startup environment where everyday offers new challenges
- A strong passion for mobile development and a desire to learn and grow.
- Wish to mentor junior engineers
- BS in Computer Science or related field
