Staff Accountant

What You’ll Do: 

DeepIntent is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to spearhead all financial responsibilities for our Pune, India office. The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers, experience with MS Excel, good verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller, based in California and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively, independently, and be able to meet deadlines. 

  • Establish and maintain proper approvals and internal controls
  • Vendor maintenance, collect relevant information (legal forms, banking information, etc.)
  • Record approved invoices to correct expense accounts
  • Record approved credit and debit card transactions
  • Maintain and coordinate monthly cash needs and forecasts
  • Coordinate payroll fundings
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and reconcile with actual inventory
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Effectively communicate with US entity and local department heads
  • Participate and assist in the monthly closing process
  • Assist with audit
  • Assist with communication with local bank and audit firm

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting preferred 
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook), NetSuite a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to ensure team meets deadlines
