Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant role is responsible for multiple areas, such as monthly accounting closes; year-end financial audits; recording of daily transaction details, reconciliations; and other areas of operations. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounting.

The Staff Accountant role is responsible for multiple areas, such as monthly accounting closes; year-end financial audits; recording of daily transaction details, reconciliations; and other areas of operations. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily posting of cash receipts for over 30 bank accounts
  • Monitor and process auto debits, manual wires, sweep transfers transactions for all bank accounts
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
  • Reconcile Paypal, Braintree, Square accounts, including entry of merchant fees
  • Prepare intercompany journal entries
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve outstanding checks
  • Support month-end close processes
  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve variances in ledger accounts
  • Ensure all fixed assets transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger observing accounting guidelines and perform reconciliations
  • Record prepaid expenses and their corresponding amortization
  • Compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries
  • Help with the annual audit process by preparing detailed schedules and providing documentation to external auditors

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years of experience
  • ERP system experience (Workday)
  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of different audiences.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Sensitively handle confidential material
  • A focus on maintaining a high standard of accuracy, following strict timelines
  • Ownership and responsibility of assigned work

  • Physical/Cognitive Requirements

  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs of force (e.g., lifting a laptop) may be required.
  • Capability to work with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.

  • Pay:
    The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
    Zone A: $ 52,380-68,090 + equity + benefits
    Zone B: $ 60,237-78,300+ equity + benefits
    Zone C: $ 65,475-85,110 + equity + benefits
    Zone D: $ 68,094-88,520+ equity + benefits

    Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
