About the department
You’ll be joining the Developer Marketing team sitting in the Product and Solution marketing organization. Developer Marketing works cross functionally with field marketing, demand generation, and emerging technology and incubation to drive go-to-market activities for new and emerging developer solutions. The primary focus of this role will be on Cloudflare’s AI solutions with a secondary focus on the developer platform suite.
In this role, you’ll help define what that future looks through the creation of impactful narratives that tell the story of our products. This is an opportunity to develop all aspects of product marketing for new and emerging developer products.
What you’ll do
We’re looking for a Sr level product marketing manager with experience in developer tools and services. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective marketing strategies to grow developer awareness and adoption of Cloudflare’s offerings.
You will have a drive to understand developer needs and craft messaging for multiple initiatives. A successful candidate in this role enjoys working with innovative technologies on fast-paced teams.
- Develop product and solution messaging for our AI solutions targeted to developers and engineering leadership based on market, customer, and competitive research.
- Align AI solutions with c-level initiatives and the broader Cloudflare portfolio within enterprise accounts
- Support product and feature launches and company-wide innovation weeks. Cloudflare ships a lot of stuff, especially with our emerging products!
- Collaborate with the developer marketing and the AI core team to create and execute campaigns to ensure success of the GTM execution, driving developer sign-ups, product adoption, and pipeline. We are growing at over 50% YoY. Everyone needs to be aligned as we grow!
- Continuously gather feedback from customers and empathize with their needs.
- Represent the company externally, including attendance at sponsored and hosted conferences, analyst briefings, customer meetings and more.
- Write copy and content derived from messaging frameworks for landing pages, web copy, social media, and blogs to drive adoption and growth.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial-minded and thrives in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment. You have outstanding communication and collaboration skills and are able to work with a distributed and diverse group, get alignment, and drive the product forward. You are execution focused and emphasize getting things done while paying attention to important details.
- 7+ years professional experience in a product marketing function for developer-facing products.
- Proven track record of developing a product marketing strategy, designed with experiments to prove what’s working and what’s not
- Strong technical curiosity – you are familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy applications. You are capable of wading into the details & understanding engineering decisions’ impact on the product, but can also drive 30k foot view
- Strong user and stakeholder empathy – you must be not only the voice of the user, but at various times the voice of product management, finance, engineering, support and ops. You must be able to channel many points of view.
- Project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
- For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $159,000 - $195,000.
- For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $164,000 - $200,000.
- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $172,000 - $210,000.
