Sr. Product Manager, Oncology Software | Natera
Position Summary
Natera's Oncology Software Product team is at the forefront of personalized genetic testing, transforming how we approach cancer care. As a Sr. Product Manager, Oncology, you will drive critical software innovations that fuel lab operations, R&D, customer support, and clinical workflows. You will own the roadmap for Altera, our tissue-informed Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) product, leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve patient outcomes.
This role requires a deep understanding of the software systems that power our oncology portfolio and a passion for bringing new product innovations to life. You will partner with cross-functional teams across bioinformatics, clinical product management, and software engineering to create best-in-class software solutions that support cancer diagnostics and research.
Your primary focus will be on:
- Owning and expanding the Altera CGP software roadmap with new innovations.
- Collaborating with teams to develop software that supports our genomic testing services.
- Guiding software development through prioritization, detailed use cases, and stakeholder alignment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for your assigned product line.
- Collaborate with R&D, clinical, design, and engineering teams to craft software solutions.
- Translate market, business, and clinical needs into executable product requirements.
- Prioritize a feature backlog to align with strategic objectives.
- Be the subject matter expert on software products, ensuring cross-functional teams understand and align with product goals.
- Create deliverables like flow diagrams, prototypes, and wireframes to clarify concepts.
- Define and measure success metrics for each product and release.
- Stay current with industry trends to ensure Natera's software solutions are best-in-class.
- Evangelize software products across Natera to maximize impact.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience in healthcare IT, biotech, or software, with bonus points for experience in oncology genetics testing.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, define, and deliver best-in-class software experiences.
- Expertise with Agile methodologies and experience managing full lifecycle software projects.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with excellent communication skills.
- BA/BS in a relevant technical, scientific, or quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in scalable business rule applications, enterprise software, or business-critical systems is a plus.
