Sr. Payroll Analyst

We are hiring a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our Amer Payroll team. In this role, you will lead the Canada, Brazil and Costa Rica payrolls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees in Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll processes and regulations in Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations in Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica, and ensure payroll processes remain compliant.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Prepare ServiceNow content and monitor and respond to employee inquiries
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and our payroll provider, TMF, as needed.
  • Lead the implementation of payroll processes and systems in any additional LATAM countries where the company expands.
  • Conduct audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in additional responsibilities, special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in payroll processing, with specific experience in Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica payroll.
  • Experience with payroll software/systems (e.g., TMF, Workday Payroll a plus).
  • Understanding of equity processing in payroll
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Very strong proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and an interest in utilizing tools to increase automation
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Relevant certification(s) in payroll is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Other Requirements:

Elastic is a distributed company. This position is fully remote.
