About the Role
We're seeking a Mobile Services Administrator to bolster our Delivery team, a role pivotal to the seamless functioning of our MDM infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager of Mobile Services, you'll bring a blend of deep technical acumen and hands-on experience in mobile device management and provisioning.
This role places you at the heart of our operation, where you'll work in tandem with our Product and Engineering teams to maintain our leadership in device administration technology. You'll be presented with the chance to handle cutting-edge tools and technologies, including Raspberry Pi, video recording hardware, and beta-release tablets, driving forward our capabilities and ensuring our fleet and partner operators are equipped to succeed.

Essential Responsibilities
- Technical Provisioning Expertise: Lead the registry, provisioning, and configuration of a diverse suite of devices, including mobile devices, Connected Vehicle Devices (CVDs), and media storage solutions, to ensure readiness for deployment. Oversee the preparation of demo and test hardware for internal use, along with staging and testing storage solutions on SD cards and installing new software applications on tablets.
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Support: Act as the go-to expert for addressing complex provisioning, re-provisioning, or setup issues. Efficiently manage the MDM admin backlog and provide Tier 3 tablet support to internal teams, and for external escalations.
- Operational Excellence: In partnership with the Manager of Mobile Services, ensure all operational documentation is up to date, contributing to the refinement of our processes. Independently manage the quality of output through meticulous preparation, staging, and testing of devices and systems. This includes setting up mobile devices in MDM systems, adjusting OTA settings, and activating/deactivating SIM cards as required.
- Collaborative Expertise: Maintain a strong collaborative relationship with Supply Chain, Delivery, Support, and Product teams, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and meeting operational needs. Work in close coordination with third-party logistics partners to guarantee the successful execution of customer orders and delivery operations.
- Documentation and Process Improvement: Take an active role in updating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for team processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and accessibility for all team members. Your efforts will support ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven Technical Expertise: Armed with 3-5 years of experience in mobile device support, including MDM and EMM software, and managing relationships with mobile handset OEMs and telecommunications vendors. You have a comprehensive technical proficiency across operating systems like Android, Windows, iOS, MacOS, and are well-versed in various MDM solutions like Samsung Knox, Soti MobiControl, and AirWatch.
- Telecommunications and Network Acumen: Demonstrated familiarity with telecom providers/vendors (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) and a solid background in telecommunications, including troubleshooting network activations and understanding cellular data concepts. This includes experience with Samsung Knox or similar enterprise MDM tools.
- Strategic Problem-Solving and Technical Support: Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills, coupled with experience providing technical support to internal teams or external customers. Your approach is characterized by a keen inquisitiveness, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously.
- Repair and Hardware Knowledge: Hands-on experience in fixing and repairing a range of technology, from mobile phones and tablets to computers and gaming systems. This technical dexterity extends to staging and testing devices, including managing SIM card activations/deactivations and overseeing over-the-air (OTA) settings adjustments.
- Data Analytics and BI Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with SQL and hands-on experience with BI tools such as Domo, Looker, or Tableau, enhancing your ability to analyze and report on device management data effectively.
- Operational and Process Excellence: A track record of developing and optimizing processes for operational efficiency. You are process-oriented, with fundamental knowledge of ticketing and task management systems like Jira and Asana. Experience in Product Owner roles, demonstrating the capability to lead product strategy and execution, will make you stand out.
- Industry Insight and Collaboration: Previous experience in the trucking or telecommunications sectors is highly valuable, offering unique insights into the challenges within these industries. Your collaborative spirit ensures you can work cross-functionally with supply chain, delivery, support, and product teams to meet and exceed operational needs.

This is a non-exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $35.30 and $52.39 per hour. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire hourly rates across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
