Sr Accounting Analyst - US Media










Responsibilities:

  • Monthly and quarterly accounting close activities for assigned company codes in US markets.
  • Coordination with operations team and finance team counterparts to determine proper accounting treatment for business decisions.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to offshore US accounting teams.
  • Coordination of documentation/issue resolution and leadership of offshore accounting team to meet Nielsen controllership objectives.
  • Review of manual journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with Nielsen accounting policies.
  • Review of account reconciliations in accordance with Nielsen accounting policies; drive improvement in the account reconciliation quality by working with offshore accounting team on efficiencies and better quality.
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Audit assistance for annual audit, including submission of requested documentation and addressing questions resulting from audit

  • Qualifications:

  • BS in accounting from an accredited university.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • CPA/CPA path a plus.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Experience with SAP (S4 Hana).
  • Experience with Blackline a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills

    A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $50,000-$185,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
