Sr Accounting Analyst - US Media

Responsibilities:

Monthly and quarterly accounting close activities for assigned company codes in US markets.

Coordination with operations team and finance team counterparts to determine proper accounting treatment for business decisions.

Provide leadership and oversight to offshore US accounting teams.

Coordination of documentation/issue resolution and leadership of offshore accounting team to meet Nielsen controllership objectives.

Review of manual journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with Nielsen accounting policies.

Review of account reconciliations in accordance with Nielsen accounting policies; drive improvement in the account reconciliation quality by working with offshore accounting team on efficiencies and better quality.

Continuous process improvement.

Audit assistance for annual audit, including submission of requested documentation and addressing questions resulting from audit

Qualifications:

BS in accounting from an accredited university.

2 - 4 years of experience.

CPA/CPA path a plus.

Effective communication skills.

Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational/time management skills.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Experience with SAP (S4 Hana).

Experience with Blackline a plus.

Strong Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $50,000-$185,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
