IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking creative, motivated Spanish-language content editors to join our content development team.
As a Spanish Language Arts Content Editor at IXL, you will assist in creating exceptional K-5 Spanish language arts content to support native Spanish-speaking students in U.S. classrooms as well as students learning Spanish in dual-language programs. You will work with content writers to give feedback on engaging and interactive passages and questions. You will also collaborate with curriculum designers to bring the content to life.
This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension. #LI-REMOTE
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Review Spanish Language Arts content for spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Edit content for style and clarity
- Ensure content adheres to IXL's writing guidelines and the Real Academia Española Spanish-language style guide
- Review text for grade-level appropriateness
- Give feedback to content writers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- BA/BS degree, preferably in creative writing, Spanish literature or linguistics, or a related field
- Professional editing experience
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including a finely tuned sense of Spanish grammar and usage
- Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects
- Ability to adjust to in-house style guidelines
- Familiarity working with the Real Academia Española Spanish-language style guide
- Proficiency in English, including the ability to read instructions and feedback in English
