Solutions Architect

About The Role 

The Solutions Architect (“SA”) is a customer facing role and is part of the Solutions Delivery team. The SA may support both pre-sales demonstrations, prototypes, proofs of concept and supporting client facing presentations during the entire sales cycle. The SA, along with other roles, will lead the implementation and customization of the product for a particular customer needs. The SA may need, from time to time, to go onsite, liaise with customer technical teams and manage projects to completion.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and/or security clearance is required for this role due to United States government contract requirements.
  • 15 + years’ experience in enterprise security – understanding of enterprise security, network, and infrastructure. Additionally, understanding of endpoint, embedded security, risk and compliance. 
  • 10+ years’ experience with enterprise technical sales.
  • Past experience with encryption and other public key based technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud technologies, both public and hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), scripting languages (Python, RoR, etc), and/or integrating with 3rd party DevOps, and monitoring tools.
  • Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, and SIEM.
  • Experience building security reference architecture for cloud deployments, and hybrid cloud/on-prem scenarios as well as knowledge of VPN and network security.
  • Past experience at established security companies.
  • Ability to travel (30% - 50% max)

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Technical experience working with existing security products and customer applications utilizing security technologies.
  • First-hand implementation experience having worked in consulting or with telecommunications providers (within their security groups).
  • Past experience building or defining security strategy for both cloud, and on-premise systems at large enterprise customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations.

Other Qualifications for the Position

  • Be comfortable with defining customer requirements and definitions - building proposals and solution briefs.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity, uncertainty, and ill-defined activities.  As a start-up, we don’t always have the clarity that is familiar in larger companies.
  • Work with sales and other stakeholders, including partners to jointly define solutions. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer security requirements and mapping SBT solutions to customer requirements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $160k - $261k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
