LastPass is looking for Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET):

You will work in the Identity cluster, which is responsible for building the Desktop Plugins, Advance MFA Solutions and Desktop Applications for LastPass Business Customers. As a SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring our solutions meet the quality expectations of our users.

Who will you work with?

The SDET will report directly to the team’s Engineering Manager. You will collaborate closely with Software Developers and Architects, to ensure that all implementations meet the high-quality standards that LastPass and its users expect. Additionally, you will work closely with QA Engineers, Product Managers and Release Managers.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Test solutions within your team's domain, emphasizing automated tests while also conducting ad-hoc manual testing for new developments
  • Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans based on engineering requirements
  • Create and maintain a robust test framework, implementing automated tests as per the devised test plans
  • Provide support to developers in reproducing bugs as required
  • Contribute to the continuous maintenance and monitoring of product and component-level verification loops, ensuring they remain functional and accurate
  • Precisely document all work and processes
  • Implement, manage, and review verification loops within our CI/CD pipeline

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Solid proficiency in Java/C# and Selenium
  • Thorough understanding of QA methodologies/practices with a dedicated focus on software quality
  • Sound comprehension of STLC with the ability to identify areas for process improvement
  • Preference for individuals with professional experience in a commercial software product domain (e.g. SaaS) is prioritized, along with a solid foundation in programming
  • A comprehensive understanding of Test Automation is highly beneficial, especially with experience in testing client applications
  • Familiarity with the most advanced development tools, techniques, and standards related to Containerization is essential
  • Proficiency in setting up a Virtualization Environment to replicate customer environments (including Active Directory Servers, etc.) is important
  • Prior experience with version control, build, and bug tracking systems such as Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Jira is advantageous
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills are highly desirable
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is important
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

It's great, but not required:

  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Experience with Swift
  • Frontend development experience with the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
