Position Summary

Marqeta is seeking a Software Engineer Manager of Automation and Integration who will be responsible for Intelligent Automation and Integrations who has experience working with a dynamic team, designing impactful strategies, and solving complex business problems for large, global organizations. As a Manager, you will provide leadership, vision, processes, and solutions to build and drive the execution of the process automation strategic roadmap. This position plays a critical role in the identification of automation & integration opportunities while matching them to appropriate tools and sustainable approaches to simplify work and improve the effectiveness of the Operations workforce. This is a high-impact role with endless opportunities to develop new skills and advance your career. The Manager of A&I will be responsible for improving operational metrics for scalability and quality by creating more efficient end-end business processes through automation. This position includes supporting operational processes and performance as well as resource, financial planning, and control activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Run Intelligent Automation practice to the next level of its evolution in the Business Systems Management space
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other system owners to identify process enhancement opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate and document insights as to the suitability of an M&A target’s business technology to achieve strategic and business goals, including potential synergies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive the creation of a target state architecture and technology integration strategy, along with required investments, timeline, and resourcing needs, ensuring alignment with Marqeta’s technology principles and strategy.
  • Develop integration strategies into executable plans and lead the integration of acquisitions to ensure business goals are met while driving alignment to Marqeta’s operational and security standards.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to quickly resolve issues and oversee the health of the organization’s business system automation and integration
  • Manage a team of individuals that own the Business System RPA, Workflow automation, and Integration function within Marqeta
  • Lead interviews, meetings, or workshops to define and design automation solutions
  • Develop cost-saving innovative process improvements using RPA
  • Understand and manage stakeholder expectations to enable a successful partnership with the Automation and Integration team
  • Work with internal and external auditors on SOX and other compliance related matters.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
  • 7+ years of technology and business intelligence experience required
  • 5+ years of experience with activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications
  • 3+ years of proven experience leading technical teams or Product management
  • 3+ years of proven experience managing projects through the entire SDLC and generating business requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with ETL or RPA tools, equivalent internal/custom developed tools/scripts, or experience as a Process Improvement Manager or similar role in a complex enterprise environment
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Experience with Master Data Management technologies e.g. snowflake is a big plus
  • Experience with Analytics platforms preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:

  • National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
  • Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
  • Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:

  • National: $121,950 - $162,600
  • Premium: $137,250 - $183,000 
  • Premium Plus: $152,475 - 203,300
