Job Description
What you’ll be doing
- Analyze, design, develop, code and implement programs in one or more programming languages, for a specific assigned software system or systems. These may include Windows services, class libraries and web applications
- Convert business requirements to working prototypes and eventual deployment
- Design, code, test, correct, and document simple programs, or script and assist in the implementation of software which forms part of a properly engineered information or communications system
- Define test conditions for given requirements. Design test cases and create test scripts and supporting data, working to the specifications provided. Interpet, execute, and record test cases in accordance with project test plans. Analyze and report test acitivities and results
- Undetrtake complete design of simple applications using simple templates and tools. Assist as part of a team on design of components of larger systems.
- Support integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- 3-4 years of relevant working experience in software development using Java, SOA and Cloud technologies
- Proficient in developing service-oriented (SOA) and REST architectures
- Experience with cloud development on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with services including API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Fargate, Dynamo DB and Aurora DB
- Experience with object oriented and multithreaded programming including concurrency control
- Strong background in database design concepts and data modeling
