Reddit, Inc. seeks Software Engineer III in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Be part of a product engineering team that’s building new and exciting promoted experiences. Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. Collaborate closely with the platform and data teams while building new features. Partner with frontend and mobile teams to build cohesive product flows. Review code and design docs and give feedback on product specs and mocks. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field, OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Kafka Streams; (2) Java; (3) Scala; (4) Docker; (5) AWS Services; (6) MySQL; (7) Cassandra; and (8) Spark. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.
