Job Description
QAD is seeking a Software Engineer II who will be responsible for ERP O3 UI specific project development using GitLab for developing in Git & testing/building/pushing Docker images, CI Pipeline Configuration/Maintenance for the various UI containers utilizing Helm Charts, Kubernetes and Amazon.
Note: The person will be supporting EMEA hours (2pm to 11 pm IST)
This is a fully remote opportunity, based in India.
What you’ll do:
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs
- Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
- Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and
- maintenance.
- May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/B.Tech/MCA/BSC IT/BSC Comp. Sci.
- 3-5 years of experience in UI Development, Java and preferably Typescript and/or Javascript.
- Some experience w/ SaaS and CI/CD Pipelines using Containers, Kubernetes and AWS
- Good English skills both speaking and understanding
- Shows initiative, motivation, and assertiveness
- Has a good understanding of the importance of software development quality and with a customer or end user focus for testing all scenarios that an end user would attempt including adding proper error or informational messaging that the end user would need to continue.
- Understand working towards a commitment or schedule set and providing timely status to meet the commitment/schedule.
- Shows Responsiveness and is timely on communication
- Strives for complete understanding of assigned tasks before starting development
- Complete ownership of assigned tasks
