Software Engineer, dbt Explorer

About the dbt Explorer Team: 

dbt Explorer allows users of dbt Cloud to understand and visualize the relationships between different elements of their dbt projects, and helps them improve their projects.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer for dbt Explorer, you will join a team of highly capable and motivated engineers in the continuous development of dbt Explorer as well as the platform that powers parts of dbt Cloud. The team is highly collaborative and pair programs frequently. This is an opportunity to contribute to an exciting, customer facing, product.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Build and maintain frontend features in React that will delight our customers.
• Write GraphQL endpoints for our API, or create backend services in Python and Django.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to understand requirements and build quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.

Qualifications:

• Have 2+ years experience as a software engineer OR
• Minimum requirement of Bachelors degree in related field (computer science, computer engineering, etc.) OR
• Completed enrollment in engineering related bootcamp

You are a good fit if you: 

• Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team.
• Have written production Python, Typescript, and React.
• Are excited to build customer facing features.

You'll have an edge if you: 

• Have experience with dbt or the Django and Express web frameworks.
• Have written or consumed GraphQL APIs.
• Have worked in multiple cloud providers.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $135,000-153,000
