Mission Focus: Performing Modernization and enhancement, Operations and Maintenance, and Development on an existing web-based system to improve security, user functionality, stability, and cost efficiencies.

Location/Flexibility: Remote with a possibility for occasional travel
Responsibilities:
The Software Developer will:
- Direct software development projects to include
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards
- Facilitate communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information
- Organize projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of project resources Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities
- Ensure that the information is always accessible to the right people
- Be involved in responding to customer questions / issues with Oracle database modules
- Review procedures in Oracle database as required by the applications
- Have a working knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL programming
Required Qualifications:
Senior: BS degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma and 9-13 years or relevant experience
Mid: BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma and 6-8 years of relevant experience
Junior: BS degree OR HS Diploma and 3-5 years of experience
- CompTIA Security +
- OCA or OCP Java Certification
- Experience with Java, SQL
- Extensive experience and working knowledge with Oracle DB, PL/SQL, and SQL
- Familiarity with Agile software development.
- Working knowledge of leading web frameworks such as GWT and MVC
- Code in one or more languages besides Java (Python, PHP, C, Pro *C, etc)
- Working knowledge of common software development best practice tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Ant, Gradle, etc
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
