Job Title: Social Media Specialist (part-time contractor)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and creative Social Media Specialist with experience in crafting engaging content for developer-focused brands like CircleCI. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the tech landscape, particularly software development and DevOps practices, and will be skilled at translating technical concepts into compelling social media content that resonates with a highly technical audience.
This role works closely with our communications, content, and marketing teams to develop weekly social media content calendars that align with go-to-market plans, content, and messaging. Our social channels currently offer a steady drumbeat of content but in this next year we want to leverage them better to drive organic awareness of our brand and increase folks coming into our free signup funnel using social during this exciting phase of growth.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy that aligns with our brand’s goals and target audience, focusing on platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Craft high-quality, engaging copy for various social media posts, ensuring content is technically accurate yet accessible.
- Collaborate with our marketing, content, and comms teams to ensure content reflects our latest features, benefits, and use cases.
- Monitor social media trends and technologies to stay ahead of the curve, particularly those relevant to the developer community.
- Perform community management by engaging with followers, responding to queries promptly, and monitoring community trends.
- Analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Familiarity with social tracking tools like Sprout and HubSpot is a plus.
- Have the ability to work with the design team and/or create basic images to support social copy.
- Ensure brand consistency in tone and message across all digital content.
