Job Description
As a Social Media Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and posting exciting football news and content across our platforms. Working closely with the News and Editorial Manager, you will help define and execute the content strategy tailored to our audience.
Responsibilities
Monitor social media platforms, news sites, and other media channels to discover and curate trending football news
Publish and manage content on our app and social media channels, ensuring it aligns with our editorial guidelines and engagement goals
Collaborate with the News and Editorial Manager to develop content themes and strategies that resonate with the target audience
Engage with the community by responding to comments and questions and participating in online discussions to foster a vibrant fan community
Analyse engagement data to understand content performance and make recommendations for future content
Stay updated with the latest trends in social media and football to ensure content is fresh and appealing
Requirements
Proven experience in social media management or content creation, with a strong preference for experience in sports media
Native proficiency in English
Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to produce engaging and accurate content
Strong understanding of football culture and current trends
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using social media analytics tools
Background in digital marketing or sports journalism
