Pangaea creates and grows digitally native brands on a global scale. Our first  two brands are Lumin and Meridian, both in the personal care space. Our goal is to create iconic, disruptive, and culture impacting brands that attract communities of brand lovers across borders. Since our launch in 2018, we’ve sold our products in 50 different countries. We have grown to over 50 employees and contractors across several locations in the world. We secured Series B funding in 2021 from Eurazeo Brands.

THE ROLE

Pangaea is looking for a Social Media Manager to join the brand marketing team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Social Media, Influencer & PR, this role will be integral in shaping and executing the brand’s organic social media strategy. The Social Media Manager brings a track record of growing engaged social communities and can work cross functionally to support multiple business objectives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the organic social media strategy in partnership with the Associate Director of Social Media, Influencer & PR while working cross-functionally with Creative.
  • Manage the day-to-day of Pangaea’s social media accounts
  • Execute social strategy for new product launches, campaigns and always-on social content programming.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing, digital, influencer and creative teams to execute captivating content, digital campaigns, and promotions that grow audiences, drive engagement, and deliver on Pangaea business objectives.
  • Generate compelling, fun, creative, and innovative social content aligned with Pangaea’s brands and messaging, to increase brand awareness and user engagement.
  • Interact with our social communities to foster an engaged online community and drive positive brand sentiment.
  • Manage and update social media content calendars
  • Execute social media publishing, and post copywriting ensuring that all posts are accurate and punctual.
  • Monitor analytics to track content performance and adjust strategies accordingly. 
  • Stay informed about trends and algorithm updates to optimize content performance, while keeping a pulse on cultural trends so we can respond in a clever and light hearted way.
  • Conceptualize and implement social media contests and partnerships to enhance brand visibility and foster stronger customer relationships.
  • Support brand marketing events & activations as needed 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or relevant field required
  • 4+ years of direct experience with social media, content, or community with a proven track record of driving audience growth, engagement, and conversation.
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker; ability to come up with new, creative, and innovative ideas.
  • Solid writing/copywriting skills, with experience creating engaging and concise copy for social
  • Intermediate video editing capabilities for social media, either within-app or via supplemental apps
  • A scrappy approach to content creation, being quick to adapt to growing viral trends and quickly publish content.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a sense of resourcefulness and ability to be self-sufficient as needed.
  • Familiarity with skincare/wellness is a plus
  • Strong understanding of native and outside social media analytics tools (Meta, Sprout Social, etc.) 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The reasonably estimated annual base salary for this role ranges from $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and location. Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Additionally, our goal is to provide Pangaeans with an excellent benefits experience that enhances their physical, mental and financial health and well being. These benefits are thoughtfully designed and curated to ensure that our employees are fully equipped to succeed in their work and personal lives. Some benefits include:

  • Health insurance: Pangaea offers medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Out of three amazing medical plans, we cover 100% for the first plan for employees and 90% of the monthly premium for two higher coverage plans. We also provide 75% of the monthly premium for family coverage.
  • 401(k) matching: After a 3-month waiting period, Pangaea will match up to 4% of the employee's elected contribution to their retirement plan.
  • Time off: Pangaea recognizes 14 paid holidays per year. We also have 6 additional “Pangaea Fridays” throughout the year where employees can get a head start on their weekend and take the whole day off. Lastly, we have a flexible time off policy and trust our employees to take vacation when they need it!
  • Staff discount: All staff members are given $100 of credit per month to use on Pangaea products so that they can try, own (and love!) all the products we sell.
