The Role:
Apollo.io is seeking a dynamic, data-driven Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing to drive the next phase of our growth. This leader will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that increases our top-of-funnel growth year-over-year. As the functional leader for the entire marketing department, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with Apollo’s long-term vision. Your leadership will unify our current marketing efforts into a cohesive strategy that positions Apollo.io for continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy that drives sustainable top-of-funnel growth and leads to significant volume increases year-over-year.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to build and execute go-to-market plans for upcoming product releases.
- Align our brand strategy with Apollo.io’s multi-year product vision, refining our ICP and crafting compelling ways to capture and engage key audiences.
- Own and drive top-of-funnel metrics, including user growth, ARR, MQLs, and team adoption, while ensuring high ICP penetration rates.
- Serve as a critical partner to Sales and Product, ensuring close collaboration across departments to support growth in a product-led growth (PLG) motion.
- Lead and scale a high-performing marketing team across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Content, while fostering a cohesive vision across marketing and product.
- Assess SaaS-specific marketing strategies and determine where to invest resources to drive growth, lifecycle marketing, and customer education.
- Drive marketing efforts to refine Apollo.io’s market positioning, establishing key messaging that differentiates us from competitors and resonates with our audience.
- Leverage data and analytics to inform all marketing decisions, ensuring a highly data-driven approach in collaboration with Data/Analytics teams.
- Manage a multimillion-dollar blended budget, prioritizing acquisition and growth initiatives to scale marketing efforts effectively.
- Cultivate a team culture that embodies Apollo.io’s values, ensuring a positive contribution to the broader organizational culture.
- Set and achieve success metrics, including employee sentiment on alignment, digital acquisition improvements, email lifecycle campaign effectiveness, and brand positioning.
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in marketing, ideally within a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment.
- 3+ years as the head of global marketing in a similar environment
- Proven success in driving top-of-funnel growth and delivering aggressive year-over-year growth.
- Strong experience with product-led growth (PLG) models and close collaboration with Sales and Product teams.
- Exceptional team leadership skills with a track record of upskilling and scaling high-performing marketing teams.
- Ability to align a complex product suite with a compelling and credible market narrative.
- Deep understanding of demand generation, product marketing, and brand building in a SaaS environment.
- Data-driven decision-maker with experience partnering closely with Data/Analytics teams to make informed marketing decisions.
- Proven financial discipline, capable of managing a substantial marketing budget effectively.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a customer-first and growth-oriented mindset.
