Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to grow as rapidly and efficiently as possible.
Datadog is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will join our growing Tax team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for supporting the global corporate tax function. The Senior Tax Accountant primarily supports and facilitates tax compliance, accounting, research, and planning for direct and indirect taxes on a global basis. The Senior Tax Accountant demonstrates strong knowledge of ASC 740 and the ability to meet deadlines, as well as spreadsheet and other technology skills. The Senior Tax Accountant supports the Tax Manager, including assistance with supervision and review of work performed by external business partners.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare ASC 740 income tax provision and other tax accruals
- Prepare and/or review income, franchise, and sales/use tax returns for federal and state jurisdictions
- Support external business partners in the preparation of local corporate tax compliance in international jurisdictions
- Prepare and analyze reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assist with audits by the tax authorities and internal financial audits
- Assist with federal, state, and international tax credit opportunities
- Support the review of transfer pricing studies and overall tax considerations of global expansion
- Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls (SOX 404) are maintained
- Perform research to support tax compliance and planning
- Maintain technical tax skills pertinent to the position
- Recommend and assist with process improvements
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, tax, finance or related field
- 2-3 years of corporate tax experience, including working knowledge of ASC 740 or experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting
- Experience with ERP systems a plus (Netsuite)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (including spreadsheet expertise), tax compliance and research systems
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in analytical, accounting and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
