We are seeking an experienced Payroll Senior Specialist to join our growing company. In this role you will assist with payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for over 700 employees. You will work collaboratively with Finance, People and the Total Rewards teams.
What you’ll do
Assist with the preparation, processing and review of bi-weekly full cycle US exempt and non exempt payroll; including and not limited to, benefits, taxes and off-cycle requests while ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
- Be a full backup for payroll processing to the Payroll Manager with the ability to run payroll independently front to end.
- Work closely with the Compensation and Benefits team on processing benefit changes, rewards and recognition transactions, and accurately processing leave of absences.
- Become the audit control on commission payments for our Property Acquisition team and for the full payroll process.
- Ensure timely submittal of approved time records
- Audit timesheets to ensure wages and benefits are properly calculated
- Work directly with other departments and personnel to resolve pay discrepancies
- Manage Payroll inbox and respond to employee questions
- Audit Time Off Plans to ensure accruals and ending balances are correct
- Assist with year-end W-2’s, tax filings, jurisdictional SUI and SIT setup and account maintenance, system issues, and other related items
- Create all process mapping and SOPs for payroll processes in Workday
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What makes you a great fit
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Workday experience required
- CPP preferred
- Clear understanding of payroll regulations and compliance, including federal, state and local wage and hour policies and employment tax laws
- Significant experience working in multi-state payroll
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Aptitude for numbers and exceptional commitment to accuracy
- Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a high level of discretion and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Able to work Mountain Time or Central Time business hours
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $69,000 to $80,000, depending on relevant experience
