This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Our experimentation and signals processing platforms manage end-to-end analytics for GoDaddy apps and their customers. The platform’s core capabilities include the ability to collect over +1B events with low latency and execute hundreds of A/B/x and Multi-arm bandit tests across all applications. This supports both client and server-side customer experiences, from UI changes to sophisticated pricing services. These capabilities are backed by highly scalable systems and advanced statistical methods that actively collect customer and product events, accelerating the pace of learning and product evolution to meet GoDaddy’s customer needs.
As a Senior Engineering Manager in this team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in building and nurturing a top-tier team capable of building and operating services that form the backbone of GoDaddy’s product evolution. Here are some of the exciting technical challenges you may encounter:
- We are the go-to platform for connecting and processing customer events
- We own and operate an Experimentation platform that surpasses some of the industry-leading Experimentation products
- The volume of signals we collect has doubled in the last year and continues to grow. This pushes our engineering skills to cost-effectively and efficiently convert data into decisions and customer delight
- Test-and-learn is ingrained in GoDaddy’s culture. We experiment on all feature rollouts, supporting experiments from UX enhancements to engaging prompts
What You’ll Get to Do…
- Collaborate with Product Managers to streamline data collection, processing, and decision-making processes
- Craft top-tier architectural solutions with a focus on availability, scalability, and API design
- Deliver on quarterly and annual OKR plans
- Mentor engineers on design and implementation
- Improve our on-call rotation process, including production issue investigation and post-mortems
Your Experience Should Include…
- 5+ years of Software Development experience building scalable platforms
- 2+ years leading successful engineering teams
- Expertise in designing and building platforms or libraries for engineers
- Deep understanding of contemporary full-stack architecture principles
- Experience delivering high-scale production web services using modern frameworks across multiple technology stacks

- Experience building services on Cloud infrastructure Amazon Web Services
- Experience working with data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics tools (Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redshift)
- Experience building teams from the ground up, attracting world-class Software Development Engineers
