About the Experimentation Platform team:
The Experimentation Platform team at Liftoff is focused on improving Accelerate's performance by increasing the rate and rigor of experiments through better statistics, methodologies, data, and tools. In this role you would maintain AB testing infrastructure, refining core metrics, developing testing protocols, and implementing system improvements to enhance experimentation velocity.
Responsibilities:
- Work with an experienced team of Machine Learning, Software, and Infrastructure Engineers that are building the next generation ML platform for Liftoff.
- Design, engineer & implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems to support our next generation ML Platform, with a focus on experimentation services and tooling.
- Design and optimize systems for A/B testing and other experimental frameworks.
- Lead the development and maintenance of our experimentation platform to support high-volume A/B testing.
- Enhance the platform to run more experiments simultaneously and improve the speed and accuracy of result analysis.
- Deliver business results by improving the pace of R&D performance releases.
- Utilize vendor-based products (AWS, Tableau, Neptune, etc.), open-source technologies (PyTorch, Trino, PySpark, etc.) and in-house tooling.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with some experience in machine learning and data analysis.
- Very strong coding ability in one of the following languages: Go, Python or Clojure
- Strong core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems)

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:
SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $170,000 - $190,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $156,400 - $174,800
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $145,600 - $163,400
Preferred location for this position is Pacific timezone.

This role is eligible to work out of any of our below North America office locations or is eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities.
US office locations: Redwood City (HQ), Los Angeles, New York City
Additionally, Liftoff recently announced approved North American locations from which some employees may request to work from any city and county: California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington in the US, and Canada.
