The Automation Coverage team works on one of Vanta’s core systems - the platform and engine that pulls data from external services and makes it available for a myriad of product use cases. We have a wide range of goals: we aim to scale our system by multiple orders of magnitude, launch greenfield products to our most discerning customers, and help our users leverage the Vanta platform for their entire third-party ecosystem.
What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta:
Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable our business and team to scale
Solve major scalability issues related to our data stores and data pipeline
Develop and launch greenfield products
Build tooling and infrastructure to enable internal and external engineers to rapidly expand our third-party integration ecosystem
Drive initiatives to increase operational posture and execution quality across the engineering organization
Successful candidates may have:
At least 5 years of industry experience
Experience with complex infrastructure challenges related to building and scaling high-throughput data pipelines
Played technical leadership roles for teams and/or complex projects
Launched greenfield products in close collaboration with users and product managers
Experience working at rapidly scaling startups and large companies, especially with environments that prioritize a bias for action

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is $163,000 - $201,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
