About the role:
The Client Platform Engineering (CPE) team is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining Samsara’s corporate endpoint management infrastructure. CPE works as part of the wider Enterprise Security team and manages a mixed fleet of macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS devices.
This is a remote position open to candidates in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom working in their local time zone. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain endpoint management tools, automations to connect them to other systems, and reporting to describe endpoint state
- Collaborate with the wider Security team as a subject matter expert on macOS behaviors and configurations
- Contribute to efforts to improve Samsara’s Enterprise Security posture, including managing various security-related SaaS platforms
- Work closely with the Business Technology team to handle higher-level escalations and respond to trending problems
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of experience managing a distributed fleet of macOS devices
- In-depth understanding of the macOS operating system, mobile device management tools, and Munki
- Proven experience independently leading requirements assessments and project implementation
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows management tools and techniques
- Proficiency with Python, bash, and Powershell scripting
- Ability to work with diverse and distributed teams to accomplish asynchronous work
An ideal candidate also has:
- Exceptional understanding of Zero Trust / Device Trust concepts
- A history of collaborating with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams
- Experience managing Ubuntu Linux and ChromeOS devices
- Experience working with GitOps workflows and Terraform
