Discord is on the lookout for a Senior Sales Planner to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Strategy, this individual will play a pivotal role in building and scaling Discord’s digital media sales efforts.

As a Senior Digital Media Sales Planner, you will be leading the development of compelling responses to sales proposals & Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from prospective advertisers. You will leverage your expertise in digital media and advertising strategy to develop innovative campaign ideas and solutions that align with client objectives and drive impactful revenue growth. As a trusted partner to the account teams, your contributions to the sales process (pre and post) will support Discord in differentiating itself and successfully capture media spend from high-profile brands and advertisers. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with the sales team and liaise with clients to understand their strategic goals and objectives.
  • Analyze RFPs and client briefs to create detailed and accurate proposals that meet client goals and specifications.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure proposed solutions are executable and deliverable.
  • Present proposals to clients in a clear and compelling manner, articulating the value and benefits of the proposed advertising solutions.
  • Contribute to negotiating pricing with clients to support revenue targets while meeting client budget constraints & needs.
  • Build templates, learnings, and analyses to optimize the proposal approaches that best meet clients’ needs.
  • Work with the sales and operations teams to support complete delivery of campaigns, including campaign launch and execution, measurement/reporting, and results analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital media trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.

What you should have

  • 8+ years of proven experience in digital media sales planning or related roles within the online advertising industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising metrics and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results for clients.
  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $173,300 to $190,650 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
