About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr. Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. The Revenue Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our revenue recognition processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Assist in the review of sales contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
- Prepare journal entires and reconcile revenue related accounts on a monthly basis.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, including review procedures and flux analysis for revenue.
- Conduct regular reviews of revenue recognition processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing supporting documentation and explanation as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal and operations, to support the revenue process
- Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of revenue recognition software and systems
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress towards CPA certification preferred.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience working on public companies
- Experience with SAAS companies a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to interpret complex contracts and financial data.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present information clearly and concisely.
Salary Range ($93,000 - 133,000)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
