About the Team:

The Brand & Communications team oversees all efforts related to brand, communications, media relations, digital and content strategy with a focus on external communications, but also supporting internal needs. The team is responsible for establishing Relativity as a trusted, respected leader in the industry and as a household name. The team empowers the strategic narrative by building momentum around the Company and its milestones, builds upon the Company’s mission and vision, and finds creative ways to engage and inspire all stakeholders.

About the Role: 

As a member of the Communications & Brand team, the Regional Marketing & Community Engagement Manager will play a crucial part in driving our community outreach and engagement initiatives as well as upleveling awareness and interest in Relativity Space within communities where we have factories, testing, and rocket launch facilities – Long Beach, CA, Hancock County, MS, and Cape Canaveral, FL.

The ideal candidate will possess a distinctive combination of project management skills and strategic thinking, enabling the execution of impactful marketing campaigns aligned with our brand objectives. Direct collaboration with various departments across the organization will be essential for activities related to public affairs, government relations, external partnerships, community events, and volunteerism.

They should excel in translating business objectives and program roadmaps across technical and corporate functions, crafting marketing and community engagement programs that directly align with overarching business goals. Success in this role demands demonstrated problem-solving capabilities, a high level of intellectual curiosity, and a strong bias for speed and execution. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in constructing localized marketing plans or event programming across multiple regions, each with distinct considerations and diverse business practices.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive local marketing strategies for designated areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align efforts with overall company goals.
  • Project manage marketing initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery within budget, and analyze campaign performance for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, organizations, and influencers to amplify brand reach.
  • Produce detailed proposals for in-person events, manage annual events calendar, and actively seek opportunities in key markets.
  • Plan and execute events, workshops, and outreach programs to increase community involvement and brand awareness. Coordinate logistics, secure venues, and manage event budgets.
  • Work closely with business units to develop strategic marketing plans, coordinating implementation with local team members who are based in those regions.
  • Execute integrated regional campaigns, managing day-to-day operations for local campaigns, and vetting sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Develop and execute community engagement plans aligned with organizational objectives, representing the company at events, and staying updated on community engagement trends.

About You: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Public Policy or equivalent experience in a related field with 5+ years of proven experience in marketing or community engagement, emphasizing strategy development and project management.
  • Strong understanding of local and regional marketing dynamics, tailoring strategies to specific markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including community members, policymakers, vendors, and professional organizations.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to multitask, develop engaging communications, and influence and coordinate the efforts of other employees to support communications initiatives.
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets and manage expenses effectively.
  • Demonstrated creative mindset with strong planning and implementation skills, overseeing all creative and editorial work associated with regional marketing efforts.

Nice to haves:  

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or other complex technology industries
  • Experience working on marketing, events, or community outreach efforts in Long Beach, California, Hancock County, Mississippi or Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel for this position up to 35% of the time, with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary for event management.
