As a member of the Product team, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end success of new products and features that delight our customers and further Samsara’s vision. In this role, you will:
- Work with our engineering and design teams to re-imagine, launch new features and frameworks across our global product suite.
- Partner and collaborate closely with customers to shape our long-term roadmap, building the foundation for future business growth, leveraging data to achieve this.
- Develop a technical understanding of our product’s systems and work with engineers and stakeholders to identify meaningful improvements.
- Identify potential gaps in the practice of product management at Samsara to help drive hyper-growth at scale.
- Partner with our Sales team to help close strategic customer accounts as needed.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural values (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 4+ years experience in product management role, with demonstrable experience of delivering new products/ features from ideation through to customer roll out.
- A proven track record of achieving outstanding results for customers & the business, managing significant complexity & ambitious timelines.
- Experience of working with technical concepts, and establishing credibility with engineers.
- A curious and strategic mindset, ability to synthesize customer insights and data into a cohesive strategy and product roadmap independently.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality product experiences on tight timelines and in line with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills - presenting to various audience from customers to senior executives.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience with UX-focused development.
- Experience in envisioning and executing large-scale platform changes.
- Creating and growing products leveraging video data.
- Product management experience in the IoT space and/or on products with a vertically integrated hardware + software stack.
- Experience building products that leverage AI/ML.
