Position: Senior Product Designer
Location: Austin, TX
Responsibilities: Lead the strategic collaboration between product management and engineering to establish and evaluate design concepts that drive product direction, feature enhancements, and user experiences. Act as the primary contact of the design team in team discussions, delivering compelling design presentations and insightful reports while advocating for top-tier design quality and a user-centric approach to the overall user experience. Cultivate an understanding of the target user problem set, competitor solutions in the market, and trends in ecommerce to help effectively advocate for specific design solutions. Develop comprehensive user flows, visionary sketches, sophisticated prototypes, precise wireframes, and impeccable high-fidelity mockups to effectively convey concepts, promote meaningful dialogues, and solicit valuable input from cross-functional teams and stakeholders and target users. Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, function, serviceability, user understanding, and market characteristics, and execute design across the entire product lifecycle and product launches. Work iteratively with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience. Position will be headquartered in Austin TX but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
Educ./experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction and Design, Information Design, or related field plus one (1) year of post-baccalaureate experience as a Product Manager, Product Designer or a related role. Experience must include: working in-house at a product company designing solutions for complex SAAS products and delivering them into live production; applying strategic product thinking, user research, usability testing and validation of designs with users; communicating design solutions directly to stakeholders; define and measure released products using quantitative metrics; product management experience; designing and prototyping in tools (Figma); working in Scrum or Agile frameworks with engineering and product teams; Web technology (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and usability and concept testing). Position will be headquartered in Austin TX but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Salary range: $139,000 to $177,000 per year
