OVERVIEW:
As a Platform Engineer in Sportradar, you will be part of Sportradar's global team. The team works closely with developers, security, DevOps, and Architects.
Sportradar invests heavily in automation and accessibility services. We are therefore looking for a new engineer to join a growing data team that will look after our central data stack. Our infrastructure consists of thousands of physical and virtual machines, includes managed services, databases, streaming services, Kubernetes clusters, and spans several physical data centers as well as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
You will work with the solutions of the future in the sports, media, and betting industry. You will collaborate with developers on technical architecture and the implementation of new products and services.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Collaborate on technical architecture and implementation of new features and capabilities on our data platform
- Search, select and implement new tools and technologies that make life easier
- Keep things running by continuous monitoring, alerting, and catching spots to improve
YOUR PROFILE:
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- Strong knowledge of Kafka and other big data technologies
- Experience with managing MySQL or similar databases
- Linux administration
- Experience working with public cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus
- Good understanding of distributed systems
Your profile:
- Have a relevant higher education
- Want to learn more about cloud providers and their services
- Have a Master or Bachelor Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Have good written and spoken business English is a must
- Have the willingness to learn new technologies and share technical knowledge
- Are a positive, team player with a can-do attitude
