People Technology is a team that sits within the Information Technology (IT) team as a multi-functional team tasked with enabling technology to deliver amazing employee experiences. As a Senior Project Manager II (PM) supporting the People Tech team, you will partner with multiple teams within HR and IT to structure and drive a wide range of sophisticated cross-team technical initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to scope.
As a PM, look for ways to standardize, ensure execution is efficient and consistent, and set accountability by supervising progress, resolving dependencies, identifying issues, evaluating risks, and presenting status to upper management and project stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
Partner with the People Technology teammates to define the implementation strategy and engineering requirements.
Lead and manage HR IT projects, focusing on implementations on the Workday platform.
Drive project success by overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and post-implementation support.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Track engineering progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status and issues to upper management and project stakeholders.
Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress.
Develop an end-to-end rollout plan for new products, enhancements, and projects.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
Develop standards for the IT project management office including templates, timelines, and self service material to help accelerate project management
What you must have:
8 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably with a focus on HR projects and global implementations.
Expertise in the Workday platform and familiarity with HR systems and processes preferred.
Experience in supporting implementing HCM & Payroll solutions
Strong understanding of program management methodologies and project management overall.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to deliver program status, roadmaps, business outcomes & impacts, and metrics
Strong interpersonal skills to prioritize multiple, high-reaching priorities simultaneously
Exceptional analytical skills with track record of using objective data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and decisions
PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
The salary range for this position is $113,700 - $167,200. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
