About this role / team:
We’re looking for a talented Senior Manager to join our growing team within the Revenue Finance & Strategy team. This team member will own a dynamic and diverse set of responsibilities. It is critical that this individual is driven, self-motivated, a self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrates both good judgment and discretion. This role requires strong business acumen, so this individual will need to have an interest in understanding the “why” behind financials and the core underlying business. From forecasting the quarterly and annual revenue expectation for the entire business to crafting the story behind the numbers to the Management team and Board of Directors as well as leading high visibility and impact initiatives to drive net revenue accretion, your responsibilities help the company set, achieve, and analyze performance against its goals.
Responsibilities:
- Build & update financial model to forecast revenue by product line that takes into account both historical and/or anticipated seasonality patterns as well as known risks and opportunities present in the business through partnership with product line finance managers and R&D leadership
- Be able to tell a concise, insightful, and compelling story to internal and external executive stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for not only projecting out financials based on deep familiarity with the underlying data and business drivers, but is able to take a step back and explain key drivers through verbal & visual story-telling
- Strategic thought leadership: This individual will be required to perform and/or review financial analysis, build a business case to evaluate different options for executives, and make a recommendation based on data that they are then able to present to and defend with an executive audience
- Support in setting sales targets and management targets on a quarterly basis; identifying areas of opportunity or risk for discussion with leadership
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis for the Executive, GTM, and Product organizations
- Leading continuous improvement of systems, processes, and controls
- Development and ownership of reporting systems and data visualization for senior leadership to accurately track and monitor performance, KPIs, and business health
- Own Board of Directors-level reporting on qualitative and quantitative progress against key product initiatives, working directly with R&D leadership to understand and communicate product performance
- Work with the VP of Strategy to build the financial model for our long range planning cycle (3+ years)
- Be extremely proactive to identify and recommend actions that will improve Liftoff’s financial insights
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, GTM Finance experience required
- Experience in ad-tech or adjacent field required
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer for a broad cross-functional group of leaders
- Highly proficient in Excel / Sheets with strong modeling skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Understand complex data with the ability to present in a way that is easy to understand, including data visualization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
- Demonstrated high level of maturity and discretion
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance or related field)
- Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Looker, or other comparable data visualization tools
