The Role:
The Director of Operations within our RCM team plays a pivotal role in the strategic oversight and execution of day-to-day operational processes within our company. Tasked with meticulous planning, organization, and control, they spearhead efforts to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of revenue cycle functions for our clientele. Through astute management and comprehensive understanding of industry intricacies, the Director of Operations ensures seamless execution, optimizing financial outcomes and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Contributes to the development of short and long-term organizational strategic planning and execution.
Drives departmental initiatives to ensure long-term operating excellence.
Translates high-level organizational goals to departmental and tactical initiatives.
Responsible for coaching, training, and developing staff. Assigns works, sets completion dates, reviews work and manages performance in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
Reviews revenue calculations for accuracy and completeness.
Oversees the project management of high-profile clients along with participating in any CRM phone calls which require escalation.
Ensures care of all operational staff by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
Monitors industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Develops and implements key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations, providing regular reports and analysis to executive leadership.
Leads revenue cycle performance reviews and presents findings and recommendations to senior management, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
Establishes and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, such as payers, vendors, and industry associations, to stay abreast of changes in reimbursement policies and industry standards.
Develops and maintains disaster recovery and business continuity plans for revenue cycle operations, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery in the event of system failures or emergencies.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with a proven track record in effectively managing the day-to-day functions of a billing and collections team, including reviewing, coding, and collecting professional services provided. Demonstrated proficiency in navigating the complexities of revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry is essential.
A proactive change agent capable of driving organizational transformation and guiding teams through change management initiatives to propel the organization towards future success. Possesses strong leadership qualities and strategic vision to implement innovative solutions and adapt to evolving industry trends and regulations.
Exceptional supervisory competencies, including demonstrated proficiency in leadership and team development, coaching, mentoring, and situational assessment skills. Proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and building high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results.
Proficient in utilizing a variety of software applications essential for revenue cycle management, including Google for Business, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant tools and platforms. Familiarity with clearinghouses and other Software as a Service (SaaS) products used in the healthcare billing and collections process is highly desirable.
