Senior Manager, Finance Applications

We are looking for an experienced people leader who is interested in building the future of our finance applications landscape at Reddit. You will have the opportunity to lead an organization of people leaders and product managers to scale our critical enterprise applications, integrations & processes while partnering closely with our finance organization. 

You would be joining Reddit to lead the Finance Applications team in the Corporate Technology organization, focused on architecting and building enterprise business applications that improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance our financial processes. To be successful in this role, you will work closely with a world class organization of Technology & Business leaders to develop and iterate on strategic roadmaps, as well as drive delivery through agile methodologies. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a proven track record in enterprise business applications, financial processes, and people management, with a passion for solving technical challenges and establishing deep partnerships cross-functionally.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead our finance applications team of people leaders and internal product managers to design solutions, plan and develop projects, and execute on deliverables, while building a positive energy work environment where people can do their best work 
  • Partner closely and understand technology needs of finance leaders including, but not limited to, Accounting, Procurement, FP&A, Sourcing, Revenue, Tax, and Treasury 
  • Develop, design and maintain a holistic and long-term architectural strategy for our financial applications ecosystem in relation to Reddit’s needs
  • Work strategically with business teams to turn needs into high quality, scalable, secure systems & automations to foster Reddit’s growth
  • Build quarterly roadmaps and perform resource allocation, while managing priorities, trade-offs and risks in a multi-project environment, to ensure execution & value-add outputs
  • Implement and champion agile methodologies 
  • Develop metrics for the team and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in managing relevant vendor relationships and ensure that the organization is always reaching the highest achievable potential of our products and services contracts
  • Quickly learn new technologies, think out-of-the-box to find creative solutions, and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications:

  • Consistent track record (5+ years) of managing, coaching, and developing enterprise business applications teams in the IT and/or Corporate Technology space 
  • Robust understanding of IT and financial business processes including, but not limited to, order to cash, source to pay, financial planning & analysis, and software development lifecycle 
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives, and ability to maintain relationships with external parties
  • Deep understanding of current market trends in SaaS financial applications from process, vendor and end user perspective
  • 5+ years experience with NetSuite UI configuration and/or integrations, ideally having undergone at least one full implementation lifecycle; NetSuite certifications preferred  
  • Direct experience preferred with additional financial tools such as Adaptive Planning, Coupa, Emburse Chrome River, Floqast, Leapfin, Lukka, Versapay, Zip, and Gappify, and/or competitors in respective areas 
  • Experience developing quarterly and yearly roadmaps with multiple business stakeholders, including prioritization exercises, capacity planning, and staff augmentation 
  • Experience planning, executing, and leading teams in an agile software delivery environment
  • Solid understanding of upstream and downstream applications and business processes which regular interact with financial applications, ie HRIS, CRM, and IAM/SSO
  • 10+ years of relevant SaaS industry or consulting experience 
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience at a public company and/or with SOX processes preferred
